Principal's Message

Elgin Community,

The 2022-2023 is going very quickly at Elgin. We have had a great start to the school year and are looking forward to the 2nd half of the school year.

We have had some big events and celebrations at Elgin during the first half of the year. We had over 400 parents and students attend our Literacy night at Elgin. Students and parents had the opportunity to participate in literacy activities throughout the event.

Our 5th grade students honored veterans and celebrated America by performing a veterans day program. As a school building, we showed our respect to the men and women of the armed forces.

Thank you for your support with our PTO fundraisers. Through the sale of Foertmeyer flowers and Texas Roadhouse rolls, we have been able to raise funds to help support students and staff at Elgin. We will be continuing to have fundraisers and events throughout the rest of this year.

Please feel free to join us for PTO meetings on the following dates: December 6th, January 3rd, February 7th, March 7th, April 4th, and May 2nd.

We celebrated our 1st quarter Comet leaders in the month of October. During our 4 quarters, we are focusing on a different theme for each 9 weeks. The themes are as follows: quarter 1 (problem solver), quarter 2 (respectful), quarter 3 (invested), quarter 4 (determined)

Thank you to our tremendous community for your support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
