Principal's Message

Elgin community,

Thank you for helping to make the 2023-2024 school year a great success. We had many great events during the 2nd semester. We had well over 400 students, staff and parents participate in our math night. Our k-12 students supported our high school wrestling team in the first ever dual match during the school day. We even had Ms. Passet bring in a hot air balloon for Read Across America Week! 

Thank you to our PTO for helping to support our students. We had many great fundraisers and events throughout the year. Our inflatable day was a great day for staff and students to have fun. 

Our students showed off their skills in a variety of areas. They excelled in the music program through concerts, 5th grade band and Cosmic Beat. 1st graders participated in a real life wax museum. 

Students learned what it meant to be a Comet leader by being respectful, responsible, caring and safe. They continued to earn Comet cash which they used at the Comet cash store and other experiences. 

Thank you for all of your support and we look forward to seeing you all again during the 2024-2025 school year.
